What are your key responsibilities in this role? Receive and file lawsuits including credit card suits, appeals from lower courts, protective orders, and juvenile cases. I work for the Judges by sending up documents for review for court proceedings and issue legal documents such as citations, summons, and writs. 

What do you find most rewarding about your job? The ability to serve the community and help the public and attorneys get their paperwork filed to proceed with cases. 

What is one thing about your job that most people don't know? I cannot give legal advice to anyone; I must stay neutral to both parties of a case.

What are your key responsibilities in this role? My primary responsibilities include filing real property documents such as plats, deeds, liens and releases of liens in accordance with the state statutes and regulations. 

What do you find most rewarding about your job? It's incredibly rewarding to see the relief and satisfaction on a customer's face when their questions are answered promptly, and their documents are filed efficiently allowing them to complete their visit without delays. 

What is one thing about your job that most people don't know? Our responsibilities extend beyond property records to include the filing of other legal documents such as child support liens and their corresponding releases, as well as oaths and bonds for Hunt County employees.

What are your key responsibilities in this role? File/Create new cases, bonds, warrants, appeals, assisting Kathi with her duties. I also serve as a backup Court Clerk in the courtrooms. 

What do you find most rewarding about your job? Watching a case go full circle from creating the case and then going through court. 

What is one thing about your job that most people don't know? How important it is in helping the court run smoothly and assisting the Judges with paperwork.

What are your key responsibilities in this role? My job is to serve the public with accessing their real estate documents. Also accepting filings and scanning deeds, liens, plats, and affidavits amongst other documents .It also entails verifying that each type of document meets all criteria required. I also Verify and Index E-Recorded documents prior to the document being accepted into our digital filing system. 

What do you find most rewarding about your job? The gratitude expressed by the customers for making their process simple and pleasant for them. 

What is one thing about your job that most people don't know? That we have records dating back to the 1800's.

What are your key responsibilities in this role? I manage the records that mark life's biggest milestones - births, marriages, and deaths - as well as the ones people might not immediately think of, such as DD214s and assumed names.

What do you find most rewarding about your job? What fuels me is knowing I can make someone's life easier, happier and a little more hopeful - even if they never remember my name.

What is one thing about your job that most people don't know? Most people don't realize how much both records and the process of keeping them have evolved. What makes Hunt County's records special is the care with which they've been preserved, capturing a version of society that feels worlds apart from today, and reminding us that our modern way of life may one day feel just as historic.

What are your key responsibilities in this role? Accurately record and maintain vital information such as birth, death, and marriage records. Issue certified copies of vital records upon request. Assist the public with inquiries and application processes in a friendly and professional manner. Review documents for accuracy and completeness. Ensure all records are handled confidentially and in line with legal requirements. 

What do you find most rewarding about your job? What I really enjoy is knowing I am apart of life's big moments, whether it is welcoming a new baby, celebrating a marriage, or helping someone through a difficult loss. 

What is one thing about your job that most people don't know? I addition to vital records, I also oversee the registration and renewal of livestock brands within the county. This service ensures proper identification and legal ownership of cattle and other livestock, supporting local ranchers and agricultural operations in compliance with state branding laws.

What are your key responsibilities in this role?  Maintain monthly OCA Reports, Review Statutes , Record request, Cash Bond/Reconciliation, Departmental Training, Issue and Return Warrants, File New Cases, Bonds, Dispositions, Imaging, and Filing within the Criminal department.

What do you find most rewarding about your job? Exposure to different types of legal cases and procedures. Working with Judges, Attorneys, and the public in maintaining all case entries. Pursuing further education to contribute more effectively to the Criminal department.

What is one thing about your job that most people don't know? That we issue Warrants and Subpoena's and are responsible for proper handling of court documents.

What is your current Job Title? Chief Deputy Clerk

What are your key responsibilities in this role? Help manage 12 other employees; reconcile daily funds with 2 different recording and filing platforms; Generate financial reports with these 2 platforms daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly; Reconcile daily and monthly credit card payments with; Work closely with the County Clerk on proof-reading and publishing to the county website  the Commissioner Court minutes, Bail Bond Board minutes, and Juvenile Board minutes; Publish Foreclosure notices to the County's website.

What do you find most rewarding about your job? I like problem solving and numbers although I am NOT a mathematician, it is a nice feeling when you can find a problem and correct it and have balanced reports.

What is one thing about your job that most people don't know? Occasionally, I will create my own audit to check what has been filed in the 2 systems and correct spelling errors and such.
In the judicial side of the office sometimes there will be an Ad Litem fee ordered by one of our Judges to be paid. This requires some tracking to make an adjustment till holding the money until such a time as the judge orders the funds to be paid. I check this till and make the transfers as they appear. I create spreadsheets for my daily deposits to streamline my weekly and monthly reports. I backfill in departments as needed.
Most may not know it, but I do love my job!

What is one thing about your job that most people don't know? Sometimes I will issue warrants and subpoenas. Even though I work with both attorneys and judges I am unable to give legal advice.

What are your key responsibilities in this role? My main responsibility within the Criminal Department is being the Courtroom Clerk. My daily goal is to ensure the smooth operation of our daily court docket. Primarily by providing administrative support to the Judge and attorneys by managing case files, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and organized. Preparing documents for proceedings such as applications, subpoenas, summons, and warrants. Maintaining records of proceedings, judgements, and official actions. Also, by handling Jury selections process from requests for deferral, processing strikes and maintain lists of selected Jurors. Working with the Civil department regarding Juvenile, Probate and Guardianships in the courtroom by Administering oaths, filing documents for their processes.

What do you find most rewarding about your job? Getting the opportunity for a front-row view of the legal process. It is ever changing, and no two days are the same. Plus, knowing and seeing that even though you make a misdemeanor mistake, you can recover from it.

What is one thing about your job that most people don't know? Once arrested, the County does not immediately fila a case against you. Although working in the judicial capacity, we are essentially a file cabinet / records keeper. We are neutral and cannot give legal advice.
