In Texas, the County Tax Assessor-Collector, County Clerk, or an Election Administrator is the Voter Registrar for the County. The Voter Registrar shall conduct voter registration activities at all times during regular office hours. The Voter Registrar may not charge a fee for performing a function in connection with voter registration unless expressly authorized to do so by law. As of October 2003 the Hunt County Voter Registrars' Office holds over 46,500 voters records. There are approximately 125-200 voter applications handled weekly through voter registration. On average, this office inputs about 1,000 new voters every 3 to 4 months. There are many changes, moves and duplicates received as well.
